Drift Car Builds
Project type
Drift Car Builds
Date
2007-2013
Location
St. Louis, MO
Role
Lead Designer and Fabricator
In my early 20's I built multiple "drift" cars and raced throughout the Midwest. These cars had engines in them that were not from the United States. My teammate and I imported high-powered engine from Japan to put into our cars.
My blue 240sx had an RB25 from an R33 Nissan Skyline installed. This required custom motor mounts, wiring, exhaust, and intercooler piping to be made. I also welded up the roll cage myself.
The white convertible 240sx had a built sr20 swapped in and was even more powerful than the rb25. This too required custom fabrication to get it to fit inside of the car.
I have compiled a few pictures and a video of those builds to showcase some of the skills that drifting helped me cultivate; Fabrication, metal-work, welding, DC Circuitry, soldering, automotive repair, and driving skill!
